Serving our Children and the Community

HOW DO I VOLUNTEER

If you are interested in getting more involved at school there are many volunteer opportunities. You can do as little as time allows or really delve in and contribute to your child's school community.

EDUCATION PROGRAMS WHERE VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED

  • Adventures in Learning - work with the teachers curriculums to provide advanced learning in a particular subject.
  • O.W.L. - (Outdoor World of Learning) is a program that is taught by the Four Winds Nature Institute of Vermont. A FWNI Institute instructor comes to High Plain five times a year to teach parents a science lesson. The parents then go into the classroom and teach the children the well planned lessons. • Learning Leaps - after-school enrichment program. Three terms per year. Run an enrichment class or help coordinate.

PTO COMMITTEE ACTIVITIES

There are many committees on the PTO that you can either run or help out with one portion. See here for options.
