- Sherriden reported that we are finishing the year in the
black but a little under budget. 5th
grade expenses still to come in. We
potentially made $2000 this year.
- We need a
breakdown of Mrs. Carty’s mini grant request.
dance was a major success. The
ladies in charge will do it again next year. We need to send a bouquet of flowers to
the photographer who was a friend of a High Plain Mom. We made $6000 at the dance!! Will definitely put leftover Goldfish
snacks to good use.
- The Square One
Art Fundraiser did well but not great.
We will do this every other year.
- The Teachers
Appreciation Luncheon was a success.
Lots of positive feedback.
We will use Sweetheart Dance decorations for the luncheon next year
to save money.
- The Mother Son
Outing is planned for June 3rd
- The Ice Cream
Social is in the works. They want a
dunk tank but Pam not too keen.
Decided we will keep it for the Fall Carnival. Want to keep the focus inside the
building and on the Book Fair. We
will have a DJ outside and games.
- The Fun
Run/School Picnic is being organized by Christine Lightburn. That day will be dedicated to Mrs. Shiff retiring.
Will take place on June 19th. We have to increase the Popsicle number
as ran out last year.
- The 5th
grade events are coming along well.
They are going to Canobie and will have
class day June 23rd.
- PTO needs to
do some recruiting for next year. Michelle will send out annual email to
all those that have been helping to see if they want to continue. Then the following week she will send
out a recruitment sheet in all backpacks to get some new people involved.
- No Spring
Social next year. Perhaps a
Calendar Raffle fundraiser instead.
- If we have two
interested parties for board positions at the last meeting we will take a
- We will not do
a coupon book. This comes up every
year but the logistics are not great for us.
- We have not
done a direct donation campaign this year. We decided it was not too late
and Kim will draft a letter.
- Sherriden will get a gift for Mrs. Shiff
- Debbie Lenzi is leaving us and she will receive a gift as
- HPE will be a
smaller student body next year. The
4th and 5th grade classes are being reduced by a
whole class each. Pam will focus on
5th grade especially and ask for an additional teacher if funds
do become available. This will be
in Marinel McGrath’s notes as well as she leaves
her Superintendent role. We will have a full time Digital
Learning Specialist next year.
Last meeting on Tuesday June
9th at 1:00 in the teachers lounge
