Volunteers Needed!
Room Parents
There can be up to 3 room parents per class. Their responsibilities:
Activities Organized by Room Parents:
Gifts for teachers & teacher assistants are given for Winter Break, Teacher Appreciation, & End of School Year. Typically each family is asked to donate $30 at the beginning of the year to help cover these costs. HPE Library
Volunteers are needed one hour per week to check in, re-shelve, and help students check out books.
Training is required before you start; please get in touch with Jessica Janeczak if you are interested in volunteering for your child's class. OWL - Outdoor World of Learning
OWL is a science and nature program run by parent volunteers. We need 3 to 4 volunteers per class for this program to work.
An instructor from The Four Winds Nature Institute educates parent volunteers who then present the OWL lessons in their child's class. It is easy and fun! All information, lesson plans, activities, and materials are provided. The parent workshops take place in the HPE cafeteria. The lessons are also videotaped for those who cannot attend.

Each class must provide their own equipment for the playground.
